ABOUT GERBER MOTORSPORT
Gerber Motorsport was founded by Walter Gerber in 1993. Walter started the company as a consulting firm for customers and clients that needed professional racing and Porsche management services.
In 2001, Walter made a major change to his business model when he decided to move Gerber Motorsport into its current location at 4021 22nd Avenue West, next to Fishermens Terminal at the foot of Magnolia. Walter believed that there was a need for a professional, full-service Porsche repair and tuning facility in the Seattle area. He set out to fill that need by opening our shop pictured at right. Walter wanted to create a service repair facility that would cater to the needs of all Porsche owners and enthusiasts, no matter what type of Porsche they drove.
In 2016, Walter sold the Gerber Motorsport shop and name to 7-time Indy 500 and LeMans driver Dominic Dobson of Dobson Motorsport. Dobson drover for Walter in the Bayside Racing Team’s Porsche and Lola Indy cars during the 1989-1990 Racing season. Dobson, along with his brother Patrick, bring many years of Porsche competition experience to Gerber and are committed to maintain the same high quality of work that made Gerber such a success.
In 2018, Jay Krewson was hired as Service Manager, bringing years of both European auto repair and electric vehicle (EV) experience to Gerber. Having worked for Tesla in the UK for 5 years, he is very knowledgable about both combustion and EV powertrains and brings EV conversion experience to Gerber.
